Black Kitty Wednesday

Last night, at 23:00 pm, I lost my wife forever. As some of you know, I live in the midst of a Hello Kitty infestation. If there is one thing that she goes absolutely crazy for, it's that sickly sweet Japanese cat-thing. Apparently the marketing geniuses at Sanrio decided to make an online game where people fond of all that horribly cute stuff can interact with their favorite characters from the Hello Kitty universe. For the past months, the dark threat of Hello Kitty Online loomed in the horizon. At last the ill-fated day has come; the founder's beta in the new MMORPG Hello Kitty Online started last night. From the ninth of October, I have become a Hello Kitty widow. Perhaps we should start a support group for abandoned husbands? At least the owner of Hello Kitty Hell understands what I'm going through.

  2. And, might i ask, how old is this wife? Sounds like you robbed the cradle. Well, no matter - husbands can be kinda childish too in their own ways. But, going to this extreme? Tarring an innocent kitty?

PS Are you sure you're not just making this up? I mean, my daughter is six years old and still likes 'hello kitty' - but typically by 10 they're out of that stage. Did you decide to give yourself a fit of imagination and imagine, the wife, the youth, the hello kitty, the tarring. I think it's a symptom of the super flu. You are now delirious.

  3. Actually, she is a few years older than me. (I didn't tar the Kitty, I got the image from Hello Kitty Hell).

I love that she loves all those kinds of things, as long as I don't end up wearing pink myself.

If you don't believe me, feel free to visit her blog:

  4. I believe you. We actually have a pink livingroom. My husband never complained. It's not bright pink. It's a sort of sunset pink. When the sky is turning - it blends in with the outside colors. I did the same with the kitchen which is a leaf green - and in the middle room - it is yellow. So...from any window the inside can go outside.

  5. Hello ahmedfernando,

Have been reading some messages on you blog. I found them very interesting. I was recently invited to write about my life in Western Australia in the 1950's and the limit was 1,000 words. I wrote about my life in the Western Australian Central Wheatbelt and how I grew to love classical music and the piano. I am not sure whether my story is suitable to put in this blog. Should I include it as a link to my website?
